The formula for Present Perfect

 

Present Perfect expresses the action which has already or just happened.

 

Read the following sentences, define the tense and its function.

REMEMBER! Ving = Participle I V3 = Participle II

The Participle II of regular verbs is V+ed: Cleaned – have cleaned finish – have finished

The Participle II of irregular verbs can be found in the third column of the table with irregular verbs. Begin – began – begun
