SO MANY MEN SO MANY MINDS
There is a four-room flat in the newly-built block of houses in the center of the city. It’s Alexander’s family apartment. There are 16 floors in his house. Al’s flat is on the floor 10. His college friends are now at his flat. They are in a big cozy lift and Al is on the landing. After greetings they are in the house at last. There are three rooms (bedroom, study, living room) and a balcony in Al’s flat. There are all modern conveniences in the flat -central heating in the rooms, running cold and hot water in the kitchen and a good bath with shower in the bathroom. There is also intellectual electricity system, the Wi-Fi Internet and a rubbish chute for garbage.
Peter, future designer:
- Al, listen to my advice. Change the wallpapers in the study from yellow to green color and rearrange some pieces of furniture. It’s right to put the bookcase closer to the right-hand corner.
Jane‘s not a designer. She’s a student of decoration and painting department but she’s got a good taste:
- To my mind, your library is perfect – there are a lot of English and Russian books in it but the carpet on the floor – it’s awful, Al! It’s not in fashion now. But Pete is not right too. Change the wallpapers in blue.
Alexander (his look is at his room’s wallpapers and the carpet on the floor):
- I’m at loss! Whose advice is right and whose is wrong?
