Тема "Экскурсия на судно"
Цель практического занятия:
изучить лексику темы, правило употребления числительных, отработать его применение на примере текста «Экскурсия на судно».
В результате выполнения практической работы обучающийся
должен знать:
- лексику темы, правило употребления числительных,
должен уметь:
- читать и переводить со словарем текст «Экскурсия на судно»,
- отвечать на вопросы по его содержанию,
- грамотно употреблять числительные в письменной речи.
Форма проведения работы: практикум
Краткие теоретические сведения по теме:
1. Количественные числительные
Числительные (Thenumeral) в английском языке, обозначающие количество предметов, называются количественными (Cardinal Numerals). Они образуются путем прибавления к корневой основе первого десятка суффиксов -teen, -ty:

2.Порядковые числительные
Числительные, обозначающие порядок предметов или место, которое предмет занимает в ряду, называются порядковыми (Ordinal Numerals). Порядковые числительные, за исключением первых трех, образуются правильно прибавлением суффикса -th к основе соответствующего количественного числительного; при этом перед порядковым числительным ставится определенный артикль:

3.Синтаксические функции числительных
В предложении числительные могут стоять в роли:
1. Подлежащего
| Two are lying under the table. | Две (книги) лежат под столом. |
| Two of them went there. | Двое из них пошли туда. |
| The first was my friend. | Первый был моим другом. |
2. Части сказуемого
| They were five. | Их было пятеро. |
| She was the first to do it. | Она была первой, кто сделал это. |
3. Дополнения
| How many papers has he written? He has written five. | Сколько он написал листов? Он написал пять (листов). |
| Of the two books I read, I liked the second better. | Из двух книг, которые я прочитал, вторая мне понравилась больше. |
4. Определения
| We have seen three scientific films. | Мы просмотрели три научных фильма. |
| This is my seventh paper. | Это мой седьмой лист. |

"VISIТING А SHIP"
Last month we visited the m/v «Ilyich», асаr and passenger fеrrу which is оп regular service between St.Petersburg and Stockholm.
When we approached the ferry some cars were rollingоn it. The ship was unloading. We knew that the ferrycould сапу not only 370 passengers but also 50 cars at аtime.
The officer оn watch met us at the gangway and whenwe got оn board we saw that all the sailors were workinghard. Some of them were busy with unloading, others werepreparing the ferry for the departure.
First of аll the officer of the watch took us to the navigating bridge. We found the Third Officer there whowas making entries into the log-book. Не showed the ship'snavigational equipment to us.
Then we went to the radio-room. When we entered theSecond Radio Officer was tuning the emergencytransmitter. We saw аll of modern radio equipment in the radio-room: some transmitters, receivers, teleprintersand satellite communication devices. As the Second Radio Officer was busy we decided on to interrupt his work andwent to the engine-room.
There were mаnу sailors in the engine-room. The motormen were lubricating the pumps, the SecondEngineer was overhauling the main engine and the Third Engineer was regulating the air-conditioning system. Then our guide showed us comfortable passengersand crewmen's cabins, musical saloons, dining-rooms and bars. We spent two hours оn board the ferry and were vеrуpleased with our visit. We thanked the Second Officer, wished him а happy voyage and left the ship.
