Student: Yes, definitely! I think seeing the world, from great historical monuments to white sandy beaches it is fantastic / exciting. It's a very interesting way to learn about new cultures and explore new places.

Student: As far as I know, people like travelling for different reasons. Firstly, it is so interesting to see how other people live, secondly, it is really an amazing way to learn about different cultures, history and geography and thirdly, it is entertainment and rest.
Electronic assistant: What do you do on holidays?
Student: I prefer visiting various museums and places of interest. For instance, on my last holidays I was to Rome and I visited 12 museums. It was fantastic!
Electronic assistant: Are there many tourists visiting your country?
Student: My country has different tourist attractions in many cities, especially the capital.
Electronic assistant: How people choose their destination?
Student: There are a lot of ways. For instance, you can surf the Internet for all the necessary information or you can visit different travel agencies for more advice.
Electronic assistant: What kind of transport do you prefer on holidays? Why?
Student: I usually reach my holiday destination by plane because it is the fastest and the least dangerous way to travel. Sometimes I also travel by train from time to time.
Electronic assistant: Do you prefer travelling alone or in tour groups? Why?
Student: I definitely prefer travelling alone because I like to plan the trip by myself. When choosing a guided tour, you should always conform to a set schedule. I like independent travel. That way I get to see and do exactly what I want and spend as much time as I want at various stops.
Electronic assistant: What different kinds of travelling are there?
Student: To my knowledge, there are some different kinds of travelling including the city trip, family holidays, package holidays, beach holidays, group holidays, backpacking, cruise, eco holidays, business travel and adventure travel.
Electronic assistant: What is travel for you?
Student: Well,travelling helps us to broaden our horizon of knowledge and deepen our understanding of the world. It gives us excellent opportunity to learn about life of people, culture, history and geography any country.
Electronic assistant: What makes people prefer some kinds of transport to others?
Student: Of course,it is depends on the distance, speed, comforts, the ticket price, great views, freedom and easy access.
Electronic assistant: What place in your country would you recommend to a foreign tourist to visit? Why?
Student: I would recommend a foreign tourist to visit Hermitage because it is one of the most popular museums in the world. I would definitely recommend a foreign tourist to visit Sochi, because it is one of the most beautiful places in our country where a unique combination of the warm sea and the cold mountains can be found.
Electronic assistant: What do you prefer to do when you travel?
Student: As for me, Ilike active tourism. I am a big fan of mountain biking. My last trip was to the Crimea. My father and I hired (наняли) a local guide, an experienced mountain biker. He knows a lot of biking trails (спуски) in the area.
Electronic assistant: What are some of the benefits of going away on holiday?
Student: There are many benefits of going on holiday. Besides giving you a chance to unwind and relax, it also allows you to spend some quality time with your family, not only in a different environment but more importantly, away from the routine pressures of work and daily life. In addition to this, it also gives you the opportunity to broaden your horizons by visiting new places and experiencing a different way of life.
