ЭКЗАМЕННАЦИОННЫЕ ЗАДАНИЯ. УСТНАЯ РЕЧЬ. ЧАСТЬ 2 - ДИАЛОГИ

ПРИМЕРНОЕ СОДЕРЖАНИЕ ЭКЗАМЕНАЦИОННЫХ КАРТОЧЕК!!!

БИЛЕТ № 1 Admittance to the National Gallery.

 

You are calling the National Gallery Information Desk. You would like to visit the museum with your younger brother/sister. Decide whether you would like to go to the museum.

Remember to ask about:

- the opening hours

- days-off

- the entrance fee

- a discount for children

- temporal exhibitions

- language of guided tours

- a café

and give comments on the information you will hear.

The teacher will play the part of the information desk assistant and will speak first. Be ready to answer the question about the museum’s location. Be polite during the entire conversation!

 

БИЛЕТ № 2. Choosing a holiday

 

You and your friend have taken part in a prize draw and won an exotic trip for two people. Discuss the three of the following options and choose one of the trips you both would like to go on:

- wildlife safari in South Africa

- whitewater rafting in Turkey

- mountaineering in Argentina

You begin the conversation. The teacher will play the part of your friend.

Remember to:

- discuss all the options

- come up with ideas

- give good reasons

- find out your friend’s attitudes and invite your friend to come up with suggestions

- come to an agreement

БИЛЕТ № 3. Buying a mobile phone and reclaiming money for it.

You want to buy a mobile phone. You don’t want to spend more that 60 pounds if it’s not a latest model. Buy the phone for an acceptable price.

In some time you find out that it doesn’t work properly. Take it back and get the refund. The teacher will play the part of the shop assistant and will speak first.

Remember to:

- answer the greeting; explain what you want to buy

- ask to have a look at the models and make comments on their size/colour/shape

- ask about details of the model: camera/Internet/price/guarantee/special offers and discounts

- give comments on the information you will hear

- make a decision and give reasons. Buy the phone. Leave the shop.

- answer to the greeting; explain the problem with the phone you’ve bought

- ask for refund

- accept the refund. Say “thank you”, leave the shop.

 

БИЛЕТ № 4. Buying a train ticket.

You need to get to …. You are at the ticket office at the train station. Decide on:

- single or return ticket

- smoking or non-smoking compartment

You want to know:

- the price of the ticket

- the time the train gets to the place of your destination

- if you will have to change (trains)

- from which platform the train goes from

- the time the train goes off

Decide on the train you will go by. The teacher will play the part of the ticket-office clerk. You begin the conversation.

 

 

БИЛЕТ № 5. Summer Language Courses

You would like to attend summer language courses abroad to improve your language skills. You are calling a company that specializes in summer language programmes. Decide on the courses that you like best (there will be two options to choose from) and ask to send you additional information.

Remember to ask about:

- location

- types of courses

- who the courses are for

- the duration of the courses

- number of hours/start dates/class size

- facilities

- cost and what it includes

- accommodation

- after-school activities

and give comments on the information you will hear

The teacher will play the part of the company’s representative and will speak first.

БИЛЕТ № 6. Buying a sightseeing tour

You want to buy a guided tour to see one of London sights. You can spend 15 pounds for the tour and you don’t want it to last more than one hour. You won’t buy a tour if the group is more that 10 people.

Remember to ask

- what tours they have

- about the size of the group

- about the length of the tour

- about the transportation

- about the price of the tour

and give comments on the information you will hear

Be prepared to describe at least one thing that you would like to see on the tour.

The teacher will play the part of the tourist office agent and will speak first.

 

USEFUL WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS:

That’s great!

I like it.

It’s good to know.

The price is really good. I can afford it.

What a nice surprise.

It suits me (perfectly).

It’s very good because …. (I like sports/I like taking pictures/it’s important for me to be able to…)

It’s a pity. (I really need one/It’s too many/It’s too much/My brother doesn’t speak English/I wouldn’t like to change trains)

I’m afraid it doesn’t suit me.

I don’t think it is (big enough/convenient enough)

 

That’s not a problem.

DON’T FORGET!

1) Задавать разные по типу вопросы – общие и специальные.

2) Соблюдать порядок слов в вопросительном предложении! Если вопрос начинается с вежливой формы “Could you tell me…”, то после нее вы должны использовать ПРЯМОЙ ПОРЯДОК СЛОВ!!!!

E.g.: “Could you tell me what the entrance fee is, please?" (специальный вопрос)

“Could you tell me if this phone has got a camera?” (общий вопрос)

 

3) Быть вежливым

4) При подготовке устного ответа внимательно изучить экзаменационную карточку – она является своеобразным планом ответа. Четкость следования этому плану – один из критериев оценки вашего ответа. Необходимо отразить в вопросах и комментариях все пункты задания

5) Экзаменаторы, помимо полноты высказывания, оценивают также фонетический, грамматический и лексический аспекты высказывания. Проверяется также знание речевого этикета.

6) Если в ходе выполнения задания учитель говорит “Pardon?”, то это не означает, что вы сделали ошибку. Это значит, что вы должны повторить свое высказывание/вопрос, переформулировав его (использовать другую лексику, уточнив высказывание и т.д.)
