I. Aims of the work:
- to find out information about Santa Claus and Father Frost
- to compare two fairy heroes
- to show the results through the pictures
II.Santa Claus.
Santa Claus is the symbol of Christmas and New Year in Great Britain, Canada, United States and other countries. He is often associated with gifts and children love him very much. They write him letters with their wishes.
His official address is Canada North Pole Ho Ho Ho. There is also a city named North Pole in Alaska where you can see a tourist attraction known as «Santa Claus House». Santa Claus has his villages in different countries for example in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden.
Santa Claus's home traditionally includes a residence and a workshop where he creates - often with the aid of elves the gifts he gives to good children at Christmas.
Every year the parades of Santa Claus take places in different countries. These are very joyful and interesting shows.
III. Father Frost.
Father Frost is the symbol of winter and New Year in Russia too, but he is a national symbol for Russia. Russians can't imagine New Year without this fairy person.
Father Frost in Russia like Santa Claus in the UK gives children presents and makes them happy. In December children write letters to Father Frost.
The address of Father Frost knows everybody in our country: Votchina of Father Frost Velikiy Ustyug Russia.
Velikiy Ustyug is the Homeland of Father Frost. In this fabulous forest on the bank of the Sukhona-river there stretches the Votchina of Father Frost, where the magician lives and meets the guests all the year round and for everyone here there’s something interesting. 
From the entrance gate you immediately plunge into the magic atmosphere of childhood experience.
Nobody stays indifferent from the journey along the Path of Fairy Tales, where you will meet fairy-tale heroes. There is the Father Frost’s farm Zoo and a winter garden.
When you visit the Post you will see a huge number of letters coming from different corners of the Earth to the winter wizard, but if you want – you will be able to leave a message with a special stamp.
In the throne hall of Father Frost, in the town residence you will meet the Fairy of Good Magic who will ask you about your perfect good and useful deeds.
Every year in different towns of our there are parades of Father Frost.
IV. Similarities between Father Frost and Santa Claus.
So, Santa Claus and Father Frost have something in common:
- they are New Year and Christmas symbols
- they get children’s letters
- they have officials addresses
- they have their villages and residences
- there are annual parades of Santa Claus and Father Frost
