| Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexander, Alex for short. My patronymic is Sergeyevich. My surname is Ivanov. So, my full name is Alexander Sergeyevich Ivanov. I am nineteen years old. I was born in 1997 in Arkhangelsk. My birthday is on the 2-nd of December. I spent my childhood in Arkhangelsk. I finished school in 2013 and entered the College of Culture and Art. Now I am a third-year student of the Design/Painting Department. I don’t live in a hostel. I live at home with my parents. My mother is a teacher. My father is an engineer. I have an elder sister. She has her own family and lives in Novodninsk. When I have free time I like watching TV and reading books. My favourite TV channel is “Discovery”. As for books, I preferdetective novels. Sometimes I meet my friends. My Working Day
| Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexander. I am twenty years old. I am a student of a college. Now I’d like to tell you about my working day. I usually get up at a quarter to seven. Then I go to the bathroom, wash myself and cleanmy teeth. Then I dress and have my breakfast. As a rule, I have a cup of tea or coffee and some sandwich. After breakfast I go to the college. My lessons begin at nine o’clock. We have six or eight hours every day. At ten past twelve we have a lunch break.At twenty past four the lessons are over and I go home. When I get home from the college, I have dinner. After dinner I have a rest and then do my lessons. At eight o’clock I have supper. In the evening I watch TV, listen to music, play computer games, surf the Internet, read. Sometimes I go for a walk or meet my friends. We talk about different things and have a good time together. My Study Plan
| Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexander Ivanov. I study at the College of Culture and Art. I am a full-time student of the Design/Painting Department. I study at the thirdcourse. Now I’d like to tell you about my study-plan. As a rule, an academic year begins on the first of September and ends in June. It laststen months. The academic year has two terms. Each term ends with examinations. I have two holidays a year - winter holidays and summer holidays. The summer holidays are long and the winter holidays are short. As for me, I like summer holidays more. They are long and last two summer months – July and August. I always travel somewhere during my summer holidays. I have classes on week-days. I usually have four group lessons every day. As a rule, they begin at nine o’clock a.m. and end at twenty past four p.m. I have some favourite subjects. I like Drawing and Painting lessons most of all. I don’t go to the college on Sunday. Our College
| The history of Arkhangelsk Oblast College of Culture and Art started more than sixty years ago in Narjan-Mar. In 1946 Cultural and Educational School of Nenets Area was founded. In 1955 the school was moved to Arkhangelsk. Our college got its present-day name in 1995. Nowadays there are seven departments at the college. They are: - Department of Production of Theatre Shows, - Theatre Department, - Choreography Department, - PaintingDepartment, - Department of Applied Arts, - Librarian Department, - Design Department. About seven thousand specialists finished our collage. Our graduateswork in various cultural and educational institutions.They are directors of cultural centers and libraries, leaders of creative groups such as folk theatres, dance studios, musical ensembles. They are actors, artists, radio and television announcers. As for me, I am a full-time student. I study at the third course of the Design/Painting Department. | История Архангельского Областного Колледжа Культуры и Искусства началась более 60 лет назад в Нарьян-Маре. Arkhangelsk.
| Arkhangelsk is the capital of Arkhangelsk Oblast. It is an administrative, industrial and cultural centre in the north of Russia Arkhangelsk is situatedon the banksof the Northern Dvina. The climate of the city is subarctic with long winters and short summers. Arkhangelsk was foundedin 1584. Its original name was Novye Kholmogory. Arkhangelsk got its present-day namein 1613. In the 17-th century it was an only sea portin the North of Russia. Arkhangelsk is called ” the cradle ” of the Russian shipbuilding, becausethe first Russian shipbuilding yard was founded in Arkhangelsk. In the 19th and 20-th centuries our town became real “gates to the Arctic”, because many polar expeditions started from Arkhangelsk sea port. Present-day Arkhangelsk is a large port, an industrial and transport centre. Now the populationof the city is about 350 thousand people. Arkhangelsk is also a cultural centre. We have three theatres and some museums. We also have some very good creative groups. Many festivals take place in our city. | The Russian Federation (Russia) is the largest countrу in the world. Its total area is over 17 million square kilometers. It is located in Europe and Asia. Russia is washed by twelve seas and three oceans. It borders on 14 countries. The territory of the country is various. There are a lot of forests, rivers, lakes and mountains in Russia. There are various types of climate on its territory. In the north it is cold, even in summer. The central part of the country has a mild climate. In the south it is warm, even in winter. Russia has rich natural resources. It has oil, gas, coal, gold, nickel. The population of Russia is about 150 million people. The official language of the country is Russian. Moscow is its capital. Russia is a federal republic. The head of the state is the President. M.V.Lomonosov (1711-1765)
| M.V. Lomonosov is the greatest Russians scientistand poet. He was born in 1711 in the village of Denisovka near Kholmogori in Arkhangelsk gubernia. His father was a fisherman. Lomonosov did not go to school but he could read and write well. He got his knowledge from books. In 1730 at the age of nineteen Lomonosov left his home and went to Moscow. He wanted to study. In Moscow he enteredthe Slavic-Greek-Latin Academy. Lomonosov was a very good student. After finishing the Academy he studied in Germany. Lomonosov learnt German, French, English and Italian. He studied chemistry, physics, mining, mathematics. At the age of thirtyLomonosov returned to Russia. Lomonosov was a very talented man. He wrote the Russian Grammar. He was a poet and prose writer. He headed a mosaic workshop.He did a lot of experiments. He founded the first Russian University i n Moscow. M.V.Lomonosov died at the age of fifty-four in 1765.
