Reasons for happiness

Happiness is something that lives inside each of us, but not all the people are able to feel it. You can neither buy happiness, nor sell it; you can never win it in the lottery; the only way to be happy is to grow your happiness.For some people happiness is having good health, for others it might be having more wealth. Happiness means different thing to different people. Some people are happy if they top the exams, or some may be happy to just pass them. Have you ever noticed that some people are always grumbling about their endless problems, dissatisfaction in life and even about the dull weather that annoys them? Such people see only dark sides in everything and it prevents them from being happy. But look at other people! At first sight they have nothing in life; they don't have stable jobs or their own apartments, but they are really happy; they meet every day with a smile, they laugh and receive pleasure from life. Isn't that great? I personally appreciate such people and I believe that happiness is to live your life, to enjoy every day of your life, to be glad to every minute and to receive with thanks everything that life offers you. And even when it gives you hardships and difficulties, it gives you strength to overcome them. Happiness means to live your life in such a way that when retired you have something to remember and to be proud of, some pleasant moments that will always evoke a smile. I'm sure that I'm a happy person: I have many friends, loving parents, goals in my life, etc. As one of my friends says if you are not a handicapped person you are a really lucky and happy one. And I think that is true. I try to enjoy every day of my life and be happy all the time: to smile when I wake up because of the bright sun shining directly into my window, to feel happiness somewhere deep inside playing snowballs or swimming in the sea, to feel pleasure when I see a child happily laughing or when I look at a large rainbow after a downpour. So be happy!

What makes you happy?

For me there are many things that can make me happy in the world, but the two things t hat make me most happy is sports and summer vacation. I like sports by playing them on a team and with my friends, or watching on TV. The reason sports probably makes me happy is because of the action. The two that have the most action to me are hockey and football. Summer vacation make me happy because of the fun I have during the summer.
The fist sport that makes me the most happy is football, and then hockey would come next. In football there is a lot of action, you get to run with the ball, play defense and offense, block, tackle, and even kick field goals. When watching football on TV my favorite parts of the game are the kick offs, field goals, long passes, and the scoring. But to me it is even more fum when I get a chance to play with my friends. When I get a chance to play I get to play great positions such as quaterback, kicker, and the safty. The sport that would come second for me would be hockey. The most eciting thing about hockey are the fights. The things that mostly start a fight are the big hits players get from others. The next great thing about hockey are the power plays. This is when the other team gets the advantage of having an extra player on their team for a certain amount of time. The thing that got me into hockey was all the action you get when you go to or watch a game.
The second thing that make me happy is summer vacation. Probally the most important reason is because school is let out. Another exciting thing about summer are the vacations. The vacations I go on are to waterparks or amusement parks. I get to play golf with my friends in the summer as well. Because it is summer and not winter I get to go swimming which I enjoy alot. I go with my family to pools and beaches around the city or on vacation. The thing I favor the most about summer is that my day is in the summer

Problems sleeping at night

Many of us experience trouble sleeping at one time or another. Usually it’s due to stress, travel, illness, or other problems. Sleep disorders can take a serious toll on your mental and physical health, leading to memory problems, weight gain, and impacting your energy, and mood. But you don’t have to live with a sleeping problem. There are many things you can do to get a good night’s sleep and improve your health. Everyone experiences occasional sleeping problems. And I want to say about types of common sleep disorders. Insomnia, the inability to get to sleep or sleep well at night, can be caused by stress,, a health condition, the medications you take, or even from coffee you drink. Insomnia can also be caused by other sleep disorders or mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Sleep apnea is a common (and treatable) sleep disorder in which your breathing temporarily stops during sleep, awakening you frequently. If you have sleep apnea you may not remember these awakenings, but you’ll likely feel exhausted during the day. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder that involves excessive, uncontrollable daytime sleepiness. It is caused by a dysfunction of the brain mechanism that controls sleeping and waking. If you have narcolepsy, you may have “sleep attacks” in the middle of talking, working, or even driving.

Ready meals

Modern life runs so quickly that people often don’t have enough time to eat. And most certainly they get little time for cooking. Lots of people think that ready meals is the best solution in this situation. That’s why fast-food chains have become so popular. They provide simple menus, which usually contain French fries, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, milk cocktails, brownies and else.Perhaps the most famous fast-food chain is McDonalds. This place is rather popular among children and grown-ups. People like having food which is cooked beforehand and served quickly. However, doctors all over the world find fast food rather unhealthy. They say that fast food contains many calories, lots of fat and just a few vitamins. They also say that eating fast food every day leads to overweight and stomach problems.Luckily, people today are more health-conscious than before and they realize that eating lots of fast food can be dangerous. The question about fast food always brings up many opinions. Some people state that it’s not bad at all. Usually those people have lots of work to do during weekdays and fast food is a good idea for lunch. Children are also among those who like fast-food chains. They especially like getting toys with their meal. McDonalds was the first restaurant to use this strategy. Others avoid eating fast food because it can lead to the following health problems: high blood pressure, heart diseases and obesity.

Famous travelers

The great Carl Sagan once said, “I don’t know where I’m going but I’m on my way”.So lets talk about the travelers which cganged the world. The Venetian merchant traveller whose famous work ‘Travels of Marco Polo’ recorded his epic travels and introduced the Europeans to the cultures of South Asia! Setting off with his father and uncle at the age of 17, Marco travelled through various kingdoms and wastelands for 24 years before he returned to Venice and documented his travels. Famous for being the discoverer of America, Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer. In his last voyage on the seas and in a bid to discover India and the Japanese, he strayed away and landed in what is the present day America. Although not the first one to land in America, his voyage had a lasting European influence on the continent. Generally considered to be the greatest travellers of all times, Ibn Battuta was a Moroccan explorer who is famous for his travel account called ‘Rihala’. Battuta travelled through the Horn of Africa he Middle East, South Asia and finally China for over forty years. It’s said that after he returned to Morocco more than a quarter of a century later, he had lost half his family. His comprehensive accounts of the places visited have guided historians as well as future travellers alike. Captain Cook was an explorer, navigator, cartographer and a captain in the Royal Navy. His voyages led to the discovery of the East coast of Australia and the Hawaii. As a sailor who saw action in the seven years’ war, Cook sailed thousands of miles across largely uncharted territory of the globe and mapped islands from New Zealand to the Hawaii.
