Задание 39 (Написание личного письма)
В задании 39 экзаменуемый должен написать личное письмо другу по переписке из страны изучаемого языка. В качестве стимула ему предлагается отрывок из письма друга, в котором заданы 3 вопроса.
You have received a letter from your English-speaking pen friend Harry who writes:
…I’m fine but I’ve got a very busy week ahead. I’m a member of the school football team and we are preparing for an important match in the City Championship. Are you fond of football? Do you watch
football matches on TV? What other sports do you enjoy?
By the way, I went to Edinburgh last weekend…
Write back to Harry.
In your letter
— answer his questions
— ask 3 questions about his trip to Edinburgh
Write 100–140 words.

Для успешного выполнения задания экзаменуемый должен дать развёрнутые ответы на предложенные вопросы. Также учащемуся необходимо задать другу 3 вопроса в соответствии с заданием.
Письмо должно быть оформлено с учётом требований к оформлению личных писем и не содержать ошибок. Рекомендуемое время на выполнение задания 39 — 20 мин.
Выполнение данного задания оценивается по трем критериям:
· решение коммуникативной задачи (максимальный балл – 2);
· организация текста (максимальный балл – 2);
· языковое оформление текста (максимальный балл – 2).
Количество слов в письме должно быть не менее 90, но и не более 154. Если объём письма менее 90 слов, то задание оценивается в 0 баллов. Если же объём более 154 слов, то проверке подлежат только первые 140 слов, то есть та часть личного письма, которая соответствует требуемому объёму.
При подсчёте объёма текста письма, соответствующего требованиям, считаются все слова, включая вспомогательные глаголы, предлоги, артикли, частицы, а также адрес, дата и подпись.
При этом:
· стяженные (краткие) формы (I’m; she’s; don’t) считаются как одно слово;
· числительные, выраженные цифрами (7;25;2018) считаются как одно слово;
· числительные, выраженные словами (eighty-nine) считаются как одно слово;
· сложные слова (dry-cleaning, open-minded) считаются как одно слово;
· сокращения (UK, CNN) считаются как одно слово.
