Оборот ‘would like to’

We often use ‘would like to’ to describe wishes. We use ’ would like to’ + infinitive (V).

 

e.g. He would like to travel round the world. –

Он хотел бы путешествовать по миру.

She would like to be a famous singer.. – Она бы хотела быть известной певицей.

 

We use ‘Would you like to V?’ in invitations.

 

e.g. Would you like to play tennis with me tonight? –

We use ‘want to’ to describe wishes. We use ’ want to’ + infinitive (V).
