Read the article about street dogs and choose the best answer for each question.

As of March 2010, there were approximately 35,000 homeless dogs living within Moscow's city limits. Recently, a small group of these dogs have been in the international news—they have learned how to use the trains in the Russian capital to travel between various stops on Moscow’s metro lines! They usually live outside the city, where it is quieter, and travel into the center, where there is more food. They know exactly where to get on the train and where to get off. Another thing these dogs have learned is to cross the street with pedestrians, and some of them even obey traffic lights.

Andrei Poyarkov, a biologist and wolf expert who has studied Moscow's street dogs for over 30 years, says the amount of food available to them keeps the number of homeless dogs steady at about 35,000. For research purposes he has divided them into four different groups: wild dogs, which only come out at night and avoid humans; foragers, which are semi-wild; guard dogs, which view certain humans as their leaders; and beggars, the most intelligent and socialized to people.

Beggars may exist in groups, known as packs, but their leaders work together with other packs. The leaders are not necessarily the strongest or most dominant dog, but rather the most intelligent. One method a pack uses is to send its smaller, cuter dogs out to beg, realizing that these dogs are more successful in getting food from people. Another technique some dogs use is to quietly go behind a person who is holding some food, bark and grab the food the person may drop!
