Стипендии от Учебного фонда Палаты депутатов Берлина

В 1994-ом году, в знак благодарности странам-союзникам, оказывавшим в течение почти пятидесяти лет после окончания Второй мировой войны значительное влияние на общественную жизнь Берлина, берлинским Парламентом был учрежден Учебный фонд Палаты депутатов Берлина. Целью деятельности фонда является поддержка и расширение контактов с бывшими союзниками – Великобританией, Францией, Соединенными Штатами, Россией, а также другими странами бывшего Советского Союза.
В настоящее время, Учебный фонд Палаты депутатов Берлина выделяет около 15 стипендий в год. Размер стипендии, рассчитанной на 10 месяцев, составляет 1.100 евро в месяц для выпускников и аспирантов и 1.630 евро в месяц для кандидатов наук. Кроме того, фонд берет на себя транспортные расходы на проезд до и из Берлина.
Условием подачи заявки является наличие научного руководителя в одном из научных центров в Берлине. При необходимости представитель Freie Universität Berlin поможет найти и установить связь с сотрудниками Freie Universität.

Up to 7 Doctoral Grants and Travel Allowances of GS of North American Studies
Deadline: January 31 2018, Berlin
The School's program is dedicated to the comprehensive study of the United States and Canada. Its unique interdisciplinary approach bridges the humanities and social sciences. Applicants interested in pursuing a doctoral research project related to North American Studies must have a completed degree (Master’s or equivalent) with above average marks. The program is open to candidates with a degree in American Cultural Studies, American Literature, History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, or a related discipline. Candidates are expected to submit a detailed outline (including timeline) of their doctoral research project as part of their application. The language of instruction is English.
Doctoral candidates with a fellowship/grant by a third party (e.g. a German or international foundation) are also strongly encouraged to apply. If admitted, they will be full members of the Graduate School, participate in its curriculum, and have access to all services offered by the Graduate School administration and the Dahlem Research School. In addition, they will receive a travel allowance. Their supervisor must be a principal investigator at the Graduate School of North American Studies.
Doctoral grants are awarded for a maximum of three years by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

PhD Positions at the Berlin Graduate School for Transnational Studies

The Berlin Graduate School for Transnational Studies (BTS) is a joint graduate school of Freie Universität Berlin, the Hertie School of Governance, and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. It offers a rigorous and dynamic English-language PhD programme for exceptionally talented graduate students in the field of transnational and international relations, encompassing related disciplines, such as political science, history, economics, law, among others.
The BTS provides a distinctive platform for ambitious, innovative, and cutting-edge projects and offers an inspiring environment to undertake theory-driven, methodologically rigorous research. The focus of the programme is on international and regional institutions, with a special emphasis on multilateral and non-state actors. Questions that form the centre of our work are related to the legitimacy, authority, and politicization of global governance; regional cooperation and integration including the European Union; and normative interfaces of international politics and international law. Research undertaken at the BTS should be driven by an interest in transnational and international actors as well as a comparative approach to problems and questions related to regional and global governance structures.
Applicants should familiarise themselves with the research interests of BTS faculty members and indicate one or several potential supervisors in their application.
