Let me introduce myself. My name is Aleksandr Smirnove. I am from Nizhniy Novgorod. I am 18. When I passed my exams and finished school, I decided to continue my education and entered The High School of Management. Now I am a first year student of an extra mural department.

Studying at the Institute is hard work, but fun. Students have lectures, seminars, practical laboratory classes, class discussions, examinations, and tests. At the lectures students listen to the lecturers, take notes and ask questions, if necessary. At the seminars they speak on the subject, make reports, and take part in the discussion. At the end of each term students take examinations and credit tests. Each year students must present a course paper and make reports in class. At the end of the course of studies final-year students sit for their finals and present their graduation papers.

Of course, it’s no easy matter to work and study at the same time but I do my best to study well. I want to get a higher education to be a knowledgeable and well-qualified specialist and may be to start up my own business in the future.

Позвольте мне представиться. Меня зовут Александр Смирнов. Я из Нижнего Новгорода. Мне 18 лет. После того, как я сдал экзамены и окончил школу, я решил продолжить свое обучение и поступил в высшую школу менеджмента. Теперь я студент первого курса заочного отделения.

Учеба в институте это тяжелая работа, но интересная. Студенты посещают лекции, семинары, практические лабораторные занятия, учебные дискуссии, сдают экзамены и тестирования. На лекциях студенты слушают лекторов, конспектируют и при необходимости задают вопросы. На семинарах они разговаривают на предмет изучения, делают доклады и принимают участие в дискуссии. В конце каждого семестра студенты сдают экзамены и зачеты. Каждый год студенты должны представлять курсовую работу и делать доклады в аудитории. В конце курса обучения студенты-выпускники сдают выпускные экзамены и представляют дипломную работу.

Конечно, нелегко одновременно и работать и учиться, но я делаю все, что в моих силах, чтобы учиться хорошо. Я хочу получить высшее образование, чтобы стать компетентным и хорошо квалифицированным специалистом и возможно открыть собственный бизнес в будущем.
