А теперь общая, сводная информация по всем модальным глаголам
CAN – мочь (физическая, умственная возможность к чему-либо)
May – мочь (более формально чем Can, и есть нота не уверенности, может быть, может не быть)
Might – мочь (только уж прям совсем не уверенно, смысл «может быть, но навряд ли»)
Must – должен, обязан (в инструкциях и вообще в приказном тоне)
Haveto – должен, вынужден, приходится (приказной тон тоже есть, но так же обстоятельства вынуждают что-то делать, например закончилось молоко, вынужден, должен идти в магазин)
Should – следует, стоит, должен (даём добрые советы, рекомендуем, наставляем мягко)
Need – нужно, нуждаться (очень близки по смысловой начинке к Should)
