The classification of English vowels according to:
— stability of articulation;
— tongue position;
— lip position;
— character of the vowel end;
— length;
— tenseness.

3.Modification of vowels in connected speech. Reduction, elision, accomodation. Vowels in unstressed position.

Требования к экзамену, критерии оценок
К экзамену допускаются студенты:
- посещавшие все занятия во время семестра;
- выполнившие в полном объёме все письменные и устные задания, предусмотренные программой за истекший период;
Оценка «отлично» ставится, если студент демонстрирует отличное знание материала, а также хорошо владеет терминологическим аппаратом.
Оценка «хорошо» ставится в случае, если студент допускает незначительные ошибки; испытывает небольшие трудности в ответах на вопросы при неплохом владении терминологическим аппаратом; объем его знаний составляет примерно 70-85% от требуемой нормы.
Оценка «удовлетворительно» ставится в случае, если студент затрудняется в ответах на вопросы, допускает существенные (в том числе языковые) ошибки и/или демонстрирует незнание некоторых теоретических моментов. Объем знаний - не ниже 50% от требуемой нормы.
Оценка «неудовлетворительно» ставится в случае допущения студентом грубых терминологических ошибок, а также демонстрации им незнания существенных теоретических моментов. Объем знаний - менее 50% от требуемой нормы.
