Information technology managers are responsible for implementing and maintaining an organization’s technology infrastructure. They monitor the organization’s operational requirements, research strategies and technology and build the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve those goals.

The term «managers» applies to the people who are responsible for making and carrying out decisions. A personnel manager directly supervises people in an organization. When a company needs to recruit new people it may advertise a job in the “NEED HELP” section of a newspaper. People who are interested can apply for the job by sending in a letter of application and curriculum vitae (CV) containing details of their education and experience. The company’s Human

Resources department will then select the most suitable applications and prepare a short list of candidates, who are invited to attend an interview.

At present the companies are getting more careful about recruitment. Ten years ago the candidates could win a top job with a right look & right answer to the question: “Why do you want this job?” Now they have to face questions, tests &exercises, which show how they get things done.
