ПЕРЕВЕДИТЕ МОНОРЕМУ

РЕКОМЕНДАЦИИ ДЛЯ ПЕРЕВОДА

Определив, что данное английское высказывание является моноремой, переводчик в эквивалентном русском высказывании использует обратный порядок слов, при котором подлежащее занимает конечную позицию после глагола.

 

Монорема в начале текста или отдельного абзаца

1. A press-conference was held recently in Moscow.

2. A change in Washington's attitude became apparent at the beginning of this month.

3. A new president had to be chosen.

4. Jet take-off noise limits are to be introduced.

5. In November, 1897, Clemanceau started his fight for the re-examination of the case. Four weeks later Zola joined the ranks of the Dreyfusards.

 

Монорема в середине текста

1. It must also be remembered that the Panama scandal was then fresh in the public mind.

2. It is undeniable that the huge police empire was liquidated and most of the concentration camps were dissolved.

3. Instead, a gaping void was opened in the national life of the German people.

4. Across the Atlantic on the morrow of the Republican success, isola­tionist conceptions prevailed.

5. Even before 1924, the beginnings of a system of airfields and civil aircraft factories had come into existence throughout Germany.

 

ПЕРЕВЕДИТЕ ДИРЕМУ

РЕКОМЕНДАЦИИ ДЛЯ ПЕРЕВОДА

Необходимо прежде всего убедиться в том, что высказывание является диремой.

Затем внимание переносится на подлежащее – определяется, какое у него значение.

Если это значение деятеля, то в русском высказывании подлежащее оста­ется тем же, что и в английской фразе.

Если подлежащее обозначает не деятеля, а обстоятельство, объект или при­знак субъекта, то производятся следующие преобразования:

- в русском высказывании используется обратный порядок слов;

- английское подлежащее преобразуется в обстоятельство, дополнение или со­ставное именное сказуемое;

- слово в позиции ремы (после глагола) преобразуется в подлежащее русского высказывания;

- поскольку со сменой подлежащего меняется направление действия, то пре­образуется и глагол.

Если английская дирема имеет формальное подлежащее, то:

- в русском высказывании используется обратный порядок слов;

- английское подлежащее опускается и русское высказывание начинается с глагола;

- слова в позиции ремы преобразуются в подлежащее русского высказывания.

Дирема, подлежащее – фактическое обстоятельство места

1. Europe is growing increasingly concerned about the escalation of ten­sions in the Middle East.

2. The Senate focused on the question of whether Safeguard Program should be expanded.

3. American Childhood anthology draws upon the excerpted diaries and memories of both famous and unknown Americans.

4. The roads were sentinelled by oaks.

Дирема, подлежащее – фактическое обстоятельство времени

1. The past decade has brought about a number of investigations into the physical and chemical properties of these substances.

2. The comparatively short span of the 100 years since the beginning of the 20^th century saw a fantastic change in the lives of women.

3. This weekend will see the culmination of a four-week campaign con­ducted by the Liberal Party among old-age pensioners here and aimed at stopping the rise of electricity charges.

4. On July 8, 150 years ago a storm blew off Leghorn, Italy and drowned Shelly who was sailing in his small schooner.

5. The Festival ends with a gala performance at Petrodvorets, the famous palace of fountains outside St. Petersburg.

Диремы с формальным подлежащим

1. It is the time of the "White Nights" musical festival.

2. It would be a help if we had a system of advanced booking.

3. They all need an "enemy", and when the situation becomes dangerous their anxiety to find such an enemy increases.

4. If we imagine an ideal society, the best way to run it is to use differ­ent systems and methods of governing in different sectors. It would need both democracy and administrative control.
